Training for a youth scouting competition, I set out to explore the competition route. But some strange voices distracted me, and I wet off the beaten path. As I walked deeper into the woods, I saw animals arguing about some terrible doom awaiting them in the future. I couldn't help but speak up.

Turns out they were spirit animals guarding our world, and darkness was consuming them one by one. They needed somebody to discover their weaknesses. Only a pure spirit can resist the darkness that seeks to consume it. If the spirit is deemed unworthy, all life will suffer.
